If I have another shop replace the windows and sunroof, and prey to god they dont cause other damages, and they dont leak afterwards. I came here to see if I was being to picky or if the installer was inept. Seems a bit harsh, but so are my choices to bring the car back to the state it was before the work was done. All your a**hole buds would want illegal lol. It would be very hard starting out as a 20 something and trying to go legal. I think you could be a completely legal shop, but you would have to search for customers, be diversified, and offer good options on film choices.
We have done about 300 tint jobs this year and I have half a roll of the one roll of 5% I bought earlier this year left, which is pretty good for us because almost everyone that walks in wants limo, so that is a lot of mind changing.

Most of the kids won't come to us anymore because we won't install limo. We focus most of our energy on selling people wraps, graphics, & signs. We have 3 hack shops locally, 2 are mobile. Sadly with the law change a few years ago and the hack shops, the good window tinters have either gone to flat glass, started to install illegally, or closed their doors. We don't ever, ever put 5% on the fronts and we just offer the Air Blue for windshields. Where we are we have one cop that enforces the window tint law locally, although we push 95% of our customers to a completely legal job, there are the 5% that want darker on the back half than the fronts.
